Two short posterior fixation posts for Leksell® Coordinate Frame G. Designed for 1.5 T and 3.0 T MRI. Including 2 locking screws and 2 locking pieces.

The design of the Insulated Fixation Posts, with their sterile, single-use screw inserts, insulates the fixation screw from the post. The inserts minimize the occurance of radio frequency generated thermal effects in MR scanners.

The risk of persistent cross-contamination is reduced when Insulated Fixation Posts are used together with Disposable Fixation Screws since the insert provides a single-use interface between the patient and the frame.

An additional benefit of the plastic inserts is the smooth thread interface to the fixation screw. This increases the lifetime of the screws and metal posts and makes for a smoother procedure when attaching the stereotactic frame.

The rounded slimmed top allows for more space in tight MRI head coils and increases the available treatable volume for Gamma Knife® radiosurgery.

The posts are fixed at the internal corners of the frame by means of a 5 x 19 mm screw passing through a slot in the center of the post and secured with a specially-shaped locking piece. This arrangement allows you to adjust the height of the frame in relation to the patient's head.
