This privacy statement outlines how Elekta will process personal data to conduct the 2024 Global Customer Survey.
Elekta (the data controller) has authorised B2B International, an independent research agency, to conduct this research on their behalf, using the survey platform Forsta. In the context of this research, B2B International and Forsta are sub processors for Elekta.
Who is Elekta?
Elekta is a leading innovator of equipment and software used to improve, prolong and save the lives of people with cancer and brain disorders. Elekta's treatment solutions and oncology informatics portfolios are designed to enhance the delivery of radiation therapy, radiosurgery and brachytherapy, and to drive cost efficiency in clinical workflows. Elekta employs 3,600 people around the world. Headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, Elekta is listed on NASDAQ Stockholm Exchange.
Who is B2B International?
B2B International is a research company that has been authorised by Elekta to process personal data and conduct the 2024 Global Customer Research Survey on their behalf.
B2B International, based in the United Kingdom, will store and process this information in the strictest of confidence following the ESOMAR / Market Research Society code of conduct and the UK GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation).
Who is Forsta?
Forsta is a provider of survey and reporting software and is a sub-processor used by B2B International to collect responses.

What personal data Elekta and their partners process for this survey?

How will personal data be used including survey responses you provide?
- Firstly, responding to this survey is entirely voluntary and any answers are given with your consent.
- Elekta and their partners will keep your personal data and responses in strict confidence in accordance with this Privacy Statement and you will only be identifiable if you consent.
- Elekta and their partners will use your personal data and responses solely for research purposes and to produce, statistical research findings and insights for Elekta.
- Elekta customer participants invited to participate in this survey will be asked during the survey whether they are happy for identifiable responses to be shared with Elekta. If you give your permission, B2B International will share your identifiable survey responses with Elekta, who may make contact with you directly in order to address any issues you may be experiencing with the services you currently receive from them.
- Elekta and their partners can assure you that you will NOT be identifiable in any published survey results, and they will not sell or pass on your information to any third party.

How will Elekta and their partners ensure my personal information is secure?
- Elekta takes data protection and IT security responsibilities seriously and conducts checks on its sub processors, B2B International and Forsta, to ensure they comply with Elekta standards.
- B2B International applies various precautions to ensure your information is protected from loss, theft or misuse, and conducts checks on its sub processor Forsta. Security precautions include appropriate physical security of offices and controlled and limited access to computer systems.
- B2B International has regular internal and external audits of its, and its sub processor, information security controls and working practices, and is accredited to the International Standard for Information Security, ISO 27001.
How long will my personal data and identifiable responses be retained?
- Elekta and their partners will only retain your data in a way that can identify you for as long as is necessary to support the research project and findings, and drive action.
- For this project B2B International will securely remove your personal data from their systems after 2 years.
- For this project Forsta will securely remove your personal data from their systems after 30 days from closure of the survey.
- To drive action and follow-up with customers, where consent has been given, Elekta will securely store and utilise the data generated by this survey for a maximum of 3 years before securely deleting the data permanently.

- You have the right to access your personal data within the limited period that Elekta and its partners hold it.

- Providing responses to this survey is entirely voluntary and is done so with your consent. You have the right to withdraw your consent and to object to our processing of your personal data at any time.

Where will my personal data be held and processed?
- Elekta only holds survey data which is personal data linked to the survey responses which has been shared willingly and for which the participant has expressly given permission.
- Any survey-related personal data shared willingly with Elekta by the participant, Elekta will hold at a global level, this could also be shared with the appropriate Regional Heads, Account Managers and Product and Functional Leads within the EEA and outside the EEA.
- Elekta uses third parties to assist with its IT assistance and maintenance and personal data may be processed incidentally by such third parties when providing these services.
- All of your personal data used and collected for this survey will be stored by B2B International and Forsta in data centres and servers within the United Kingdom and EEA.
- Your personal data will be transferred to countries outside the European Economic Area. Some countries may not have laws that provide the same protections on personal data as inside the European Economic Area. To protect your data in these countries, Elekta and their partners make sure that adequate levels of protection are in place to protect the integrity and security of your Personal Information or adequate security measures are adopted and in compliance with the applicable laws. Groups to whom B2B International transfers personal data in such countries will be required to sign agreements to protect personal data or agree to data transfer agreements with third parties.
